Anna Diaz Gessner
Class of 2027
Anna Diaz Gessner became interested in technology governance while studying International Politics at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She explored the challenges of attribution and accountability for cyber activities in international law in her published paper “Conflicting Frameworks: International Law and Cybersecurity.” Before law school, Anna worked in an organization supporting businesses with cyber and privacy regulatory risk management and incident response.
During her 1L summer, Anna was a summer associate in the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Innovation practice at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Next summer she will be splitting her time as a summer associate in the D.C. offices of Hogan Lovells and Orrick, focusing on data privacy and security issues.
Anna is a native French and Spanish speaker and has enjoyed learning Mandarin and Portuguese.
