Thai Delegation Visit
June 3, 2025

In June, the Tech Institute was honored to host the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand at Georgetown Law for a briefing.
During the visit, part of the NBTC‘s recent trip to Washington, D.C., Institute for Technology Law & Policy staff presented on U.S. tech and telecom mergers and other regulatory topics, and adjunct faculty member Austin Bonner spoke on the importance of resilient telecommunications infrastructure and the shifting cybersecurity landscape.
Discussion focused on critical areas at the intersection of law, technology, and policy:
- Austin Bonner, Adjunct Professor at Georgetown Law, addressed the importance of resilient telecommunications infrastructure and emerging challenges in cybersecurity.
- Stephanie Weiner, Federal Alumni Fellow at the ITLP, offered insights on U.S. technology and telecommunications mergers, as well as existing legal and policy gaps.
- Natalie Roisman, Executive Director of ITLP, shared our approach to student training and professional development, and highlighted the Institute’s ongoing work in advancing thoughtful, future-focused tech policy.
We deeply value the opportunity to exchange knowledge with international regulatory leaders and remain committed to fostering global dialogue on technology, law, and governance.
