September 19, 2024

Jason Tashea, the Founding Director of the Judicial Innovation Fellowship, was selected to join LSC's Leaders Council.

The Legal Services Corporation is the country’s largest funder of legal aid for low-income Americans. Its Leaders Council raises public awareness across the country on the crisis in civil legal aid and the importance of providing equal access to our justice system to low-income Americans. Jason was chosen by the Legal Services Corporation’s Board, which is appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate.

“I’m thrilled to continue working with LSC in this capacity,” said Jason. “It’s an honor to be working on this shared mission with such an impressive group.”

Jason joins other council members, including writer John Grisham, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and NFL coach Jim Harbaugh, in supporting legal aid. Jason was previously a member of LSC’s Emerging Leaders Council and a founding host of LSC’s Talk Justice podcast.
