Angelene Superable

Class of 2025

Drawing on five years of executive-level communications and policy experience in New York City and state government, Angelene Superable is committed to understanding how federal and state financial institutions adapt when technological advances outpace the existing regulatory scheme. Angelene’s interest in financial services regulation and enforcement stems from her work as a Summer Associate and 1L Diversity Scholar at Davis Wright Tremaine, where she will return as a Summer Associate after completing her 2L year.

Before law school, Angelene served as New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s Deputy Communications Director, managing communications for 11 statewide agencies and advising the Governor on policy issues such as COVID-19, reproductive rights, the opioid epidemic, mental health, and gun violence prevention. Previously, Angelene was the Lieutenant Governor’s Communications Director and the Mayor of New York City’s Deputy Press Secretary, Communications Advisor, and Special Assistant. In addition to founding New York City’s first-ever pan-Asian democratic club, Angelene served as Coro New York Leadership Center’s youngest board member and sat on the Board of Elders for Forefront Church, an LGBTQIA+ affirming church. Angelene served as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs after graduating with a degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
