Chance Goddard

Chance Goddard (they/them) is a dual Doctor of Information Technology (D.I.T.) candidate specializing in issues at the intersections of AI governance, intellectual property, education, and privacy. The come to law after a Broadway career, which included shows like “The Book of Mormon.”
Recently, as a Coleman Fellow at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, Chance co-authored articles on on patent infringement and Garmon Pre-emption & the Railway Labor Act. Prior, at WilmerHale, they researched the impact of technology on housing discrimination and drafted memos on cryptocurrency regulations. Chance also protected trade secrets while creating e-Learning courses for diverse employee groups as an Instructional Designer at Kaiser Permanente.
Chance is fluent in Spanish and likes screenwriting, songwriting, and exploring new gadgets in their free time.
