Class of 2025

Jackson Thompson graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of Arkansas in 2022. He received a B.A. in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate and a B.A. in Political Science. He was raised in Bentonville, Arkansas.

During his time in undergrad, Jackson spent a summer interning in Washington for Congressman Steve Womack. Jackson was also the Diversity & Inclusion chair for the Sigma Nu chapter on campus. In the spring of 2020, Jackson studied abroad with Semester at Sea, routing through Asia and Africa amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. His junior year Jackson started his own business, tutoring high school students standardized test preparation. Jackson employed 11 other college students and had over 100 clients during the 18 months of operation. During his senior year, Jackson served as a senator in All-Student Government, and was the Allocations Chairman. Jackson also wrote his thesis senior year, which was focused on bias in artificial intelligence, and warned how AI’s implementation can further exacerbate disparities within marginalized communities.

During the summer of 2023 Jackson was a legal intern at Salesforce, where he assisted in data migration processes to ensure efficiency and collaboration among all Salesforce employees and completed an antitrust study, formulating recommendations regarding how the tech company could react to potential antitrust implications regarding the implementation of generative AI.

Here at Georgetown, Jackson is currently a research assistant for Amanda Levendowski, the director of the Intellectual Property Clinic. During this semester he will be working on projects regarding the fair use doctrine and will be researching how feminist values can be implemented within the field to challenge oppression and promote liberation. In Jackson’s free time, he likes to watch college football, travel, and play trivia with his friends.
