Li-Wen OngClass of 2025

Li-Wen was born and raised in Singapore. She graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, majoring in Public Policy and Global Affairs.

Prior to law school, Li-Wen worked at the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore’s International Cyber Policy Office, where she managed Singapore’s foreign interests pertaining to cybersecurity in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. Li-Wen’s work dealing with the applicability of international law in cyber space ignited her interest in the intersection of law and technology.

At Georgetown Law, Li-Wen is a staff editor on the Journal of National Security Law and Policy. She hopes to leverage on her past experiences by engaging in Georgetown’s national security, cyber security and technology law classes and clinics. As a tech law scholar, Li-Wen is passionate about using her legal education to shape the legal landscape in cyber space.

Alongside her academic and career interests, Li-Wen was a former springboard and platform diver and a certified aerial yoga and barre instructor. During her free time, you will find her exploring the outdoors, perfecting her macaron recipe, or binging on the new sci-fi series on Netflix with her two dogs.
