Dear Graduating Students,

As mentioned in Dean Treanor’s email from earlier this week, as part of our Commencement Week activities, we are planning Celebration Days on campus on Saturday, May 22nd and Sunday, May 23rd.

This email provides you with some specific details about the event and registration information.

Each day, we will have three opportunities to come to campus with your classmates and loved ones to celebrate this important milestone. These events will be limited to 75 students each, and up to two guests per student, and will include photo opportunities and the opportunity to walk across a stage with fellow graduates. Students may register for only one event. Regalia is not required to participate, but you may wear it if you wish.

The available times each day are:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. EDT

  • 12 Noon – 1:30 p.m. EDT

  • 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. EDT

Registration will open for all time slots (both Saturday and Sunday) this Monday, May 3rd, at 5:00 p.m. EDT and registration is first come, first served. As soon as all 75 slots are filled, that time block will be closed. Registration will close on Thursday, May 6th, at 11:59p.m. EDT. You will register for this event through your MarchingOrder account. Please follow the instructions emailed to you previously to create your account.

Graduates and guests do not need to be in the Georgetown COVID testing protocol to attend, but masking and social distancing will be required while on campus. We expect all participants to follow CDC and DC guidelines. More information about Commencement activities can be found on our website.

We look forward to welcoming you and your guests to campus! Please reply to this email with any questions.

Please email for any accessibility requests and a good faith effort will be made to provide accommodations.

Hoya Saxa!
