Regalia

While regalia is not required to participate in any of the Georgetown Law Commencement events, many graduates choose to wear the attire. The Law Center’s regalia consists of a gown with velvet bands, a hood, and an eight-cornered velvet tam with a purple tassel, to signify the study of law.

Pre-ordered regalia will be available for pick up at the Law Center Bookstore.

After Commencement

After the Commencement, rented regalia must be returned to the Law Center Bookstore or Main Campus Bookstores no later than Friday, May 23. You may be charged a fee if your regalia is not returned.

Graduates may also mail regalia with attention to the Georgetown Law Bookstore at: 550 1st Street NW Washington D.C., 20001. Please include a name and a phone number in case we need to get in touch.
