Right to Health Art Exhibition

During the 80th UNGA, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right of everyone to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health (SR health), Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng, will present her thematic report on “Health and care workers: The oath takers & as defenders of the right to health A/80/184.”

The side-event will:

1. Advance the right to health as enshrined in international law and essential for the realization of peace, security, and sustainable development, while recognizing that the effective and full implementation of the right to health framework is crucial to a life of dignity.
2. Showcase and engage the audience in reflection of Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng’s tenure as UN Special Rapporteur on the right to health, 2020-2026, using the power of art and story-telling, in collaboration with artists and curators, the 3-day exhibition will feature works that highlight the journey, achievements and opportunities brought by Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng’s tenure as a UN Special Rapporteur and in the words of Dr. T “restoring the dignity of people through the right to health”

The right to health exhibition will be in celebration of her last in-person address to the UN General Assembly. #UNGA80
