Kimberley Raleigh has served in various positions at the U.S. Department of Justice over the past two decades, most recently as Deputy Chief in the Office of Law and Policy of the National Security Division. In that role, she works with the National Security Council and other federal agencies to develop policy on cybersecurity and emerging technology. Immediately prior to joining Law & Policy, she was Counsel to the Director of the Guantanamo Review Task Force established under Executive Order 13492. Professor Raleigh has also held several other senior positions within the National Security Division, including Counsel to the first two Assistant Attorneys General for National Security and Associate Counsel in the Office of Intelligence, Policy, and Review. Prior to joining government, she was an associate in the antitrust group of Skadden, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York. Professor Raleigh graduated with honors from The Law School of the University of Chicago and received her B.A. in Humanities from Yale University.
