McKenzie Hightower graduated cum laude from Georgetown Law Center in 2021, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Georgetown Law Review. She then clerked for the Honorable Stephen H. Glickman on the D.C. Court of Appeals in 2022 before being selected as an Honors Attorney within the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice in the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. Her accomplishments while at the Department include two trial victories in the Eastern District of California, teaching at both the National Law Enforcement Training on Child Exploitation in Georgia and at a law enforcement summit in Panama on criminal investigative techniques, and an oral argument before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her publications include The Fourth Amendment and the Dark Web: How to Embrace a Digital Jurisprudence That Protects Individual Liberties, 109 Geo. L.J. Online 174.
