Josh Kadish

Josh Kadish comes to Georgetown Law after several years working in international human rights and corporate accountability in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. His work has focused on advancing accountability for violations of human rights and international law through international advocacy, strategic litigation, and institutional development.

Josh earned a B.A. in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. He then moved to Tel Aviv, where he completed an M.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Security and Diplomacy Studies at Tel Aviv University.

Josh subsequently worked across several Israeli and international human rights organizations, including the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, B’Tselem – The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, and Global Echo Litigation Center. In these roles, he worked closely with Israeli and Palestinian civil society organizations, Palestinian communities, and international partners to advance accountability efforts. He developed extensive experience with the Israeli legal system and the legal, political, and humanitarian issues arising from Israel’s occupation of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Before coming to law school, Josh served as Head of Development and Advocacy at Global Echo Litigation Center, where he established the organization’s first advocacy department and led its advocacy, communications, and fundraising efforts. In that role, he supported strategic litigation addressing corporate complicity in human rights violations and the legal implications of commercial activity in occupied territories.

At Georgetown Law and as a Global Law Scholar, Josh looks forward to building on his experience in international human rights and corporate accountability while deepening his understanding of international law and its role in addressing complex transnational legal challenges.
