Alison Spada
Alison Spada is the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Dean at Georgetown Law. Ms. Spada joined Georgetown Law in 2005.
Previously, Ms. Spada has held leadership positions at Georgetown as Assistant Dean of Admissions, Assistant Dean for Innovation and Strategy, and Assistant Dean for Academic Strategy. She graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. cum laude in English and received her J.D. from Cornell Law School. At Cornell, Ms. Spada won the First Year Moot Court Competition and served as Vice-Chancellor of the Cornell Law School Moot Court Board.
She was also an Associate Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal. After law school, Ms. Spada was an associate with Dewey Ballantine LLP in their New York and Washington, D.C. offices.
She established the Alumni Admissions Interview Program and the Opportunity Scholarship Program at Georgetown Law, to support academically excellent students who face significant financial barriers to attending law school, many of whom are the first in their family to attend college.
Ms. Spada is an active member of the New York Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. She lives with her husband and two children in Washington, D.C.
