FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Question: Will COVID-19 vaccination be required to attend the Celebration Weekend?
Answer: In accordance with Georgetown University protocol, all attendees of the Georgetown Law Celebration Weekend for the Classes of 2020 and 2021 will be required to provide proof of vaccination to attend any Celebration Weekend event, whether it be on or off-campus. For those with a medical or religious exemption, a negative COVID test will be required within 72 hours of the event.

Question: How do I upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination?
Answer: After registering for the Celebration Weekend, on both the registration confirmation page and in your confirmation email, you will see a button to click that reads “Upload Proof of Your COVID-19 Vaccination.” This button will lead you to a brief form where you can upload images of the front and back of your vaccination card.

Question: When will registration open?
Answer: Registration is now open for the Celebration Weekend! Sign up today.

Question: Is it possible to attend just one event over the course of the weekend?
Answer: Yes! Simply select the one event you plan to attend through the registration portal.

Question: How much do the events cost?
Answer: All events are free for members of the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021. Guests are welcome to buy tickets a la carte on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Question: Can I bring my family or partner?
Answer: We heard your feedback and are delighted to announce that we will offer tickets to guests of 2020 and 2021 graduates for each of the weekend’s events on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Guests of classmates are welcome to purchase tickets a la carte, meaning they can buy tickets to as many or as few events as they would like.

The weekend’s events will remain free and accessible to all 2020 and 2021 graduates. Additionally, the tickets available for purchase by guests are partially subsidized by the Law Center so that it is accessible for guests to attend.

Question: Will there be a Commencement event for the Class of 2020 during the Celebration Weekend?
Answer: Members of the Class of 2020 are invited to attend the Commencement programming scheduled to take place the weekend before on the University’s Main Campus: May 27-29, 2022. More information will be distributed by the University in the coming weeks.

During the Celebration Weekend, we will host a special Champagne Toast for the Class of 2020 on Friday, June 3rd between 7:00 – 8:30 PM, but there will not be a specially designated commencement event during the Celebration Weekend.

Question: What is the dress code for the Gala?
Answer: The Gala is black-tie optional.

Question: What is the dress code for my class party?
Answer: There are no dress codes for class parties.

Question: How do I alert staff of my dietary restrictions?
Answer: Please be sure to fill out the dietary restrictions question during online registration. If you have additional concerns, please contact the Office of Alumni Affairs via email.

Question: Can I park on-campus?
Answer: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate on-campus parking during the Celebration Weekend. However, there are many paid parking lots surrounding the Law Center. Additionally, we are only a short walk from both Union Station and the Judiciary Square metro stop.
