Emma is a 2L student and a member of Cohort 6 in the Business Law Scholars program. Practice areas of interest include Corporate, M&A, and Antitrust. At Georgetown, Emma is the VP of Communications for the Corporate & Financial Law Organization. She was also the 1L Representative for the Georgetown International Arbitration Society. She also plays football on Sundays with a team of Georgetown students.

Background

Emma graduated from the University of California Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor’s in Political Economy with a Concentration in Development Economics and Applied Economics. During undergrad, she gained leadership experience as a Vice Chair and then Head Chair of the Berkeley Model United Nations, Co-President of the Political Economy Student Association, President of the ECOSOC Committee at the London International Model United Nations, and worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Center on the Politics of Development and Institute of International Studies.

During her summers at Berkeley, she worked at the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament (Parlatino) in Panama City, Panama as an Intern and at Oliver Wyman in Madrid, Spain as a Core Consulting Intern.

During her 1L summer at Georgetown Law, she was a 1L Diversity Scholar at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld where she will be returning for her 2L summer. Emma hopes to pursue corporate transactional work in the M&A field.

Beyond Law School

Emma is originally from France and grew up in the UK and Mexico. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English. In her free time, Emma enjoys cooking, playing football, and listening to music.
