On campus, he is involved in the Muslim Law Students Association and the Middle East & North African Law Students Association.

Background

Hamza graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in Economics and a minor in Professional Writing. As a varsity rower, he competed on the regional and national level. Along with his athletics, Hamza was a journalist for the UCLA Al-Talib Newsmagazine, and was involved in several student organizations, including the Bruin Finance Society, the Muslim Student Association, and the Palestinian Student Union.

Hamza is also the founder of the Sweet Smiles Foundation, where he designed, manufactured, and distributed 3,000+ medical accessories for insulin pumps and glucose monitors to type 1 diabetics all over the U.S. and internationally. He has partnered with several hospitals and type 1 diabetes organizations, including Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Padre Foundation, and Tandem Diabetes to distribute accessories to type 1 diabetics.

This summer, Hamza will be an intern at Textron Inc.’s in-house legal team. Next summer he will be joining Morgan Lewis’s finance team in the LA office.

Beyond Law School

Hamza is from Yorba Linda, California. In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing soccer, cooking, and exploring DC. He is fluent in both Classical and Conversational Arabic.
