Hanning is a 3L at Georgetown Law. Prior to Georgetown Law, Hanning practiced law in China for nearly four years with a focus on Commercial Litigation, providing Chinese law advice to clients at virtually all stages of litigation. He is also admitted to practice law in New York and has experience assisting cross-border dispute resolution involving litigations filed in the US and the British Virgin Islands, as well as compliance investigations initiated by Multilateral Development Banks. Some of the major victories Hanning has helped clients achieve include:

  • Assisted with the successful defense of a Chinese pharmaceutical company against a claim for breach of contract in the Shanghai Songjiang District Court.
  • Worked on a freezing order for a Chinese trust company in the Beijing High Court and achieved favorable settlement.
  • Assisted with the successful defense of a Hong Kong leasing company against claim for breach of contract in the Beijing 3rd Intermediate Court.

Hanning grew up in Beijing, China and enjoys working out, traveling, and reading.
