Jake Negvesky
Jake Negvesky is in his third year at Georgetown University Law Center. He is a Student Fellow at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution and an active member of the Corporate & Financial Law Organization and the National Security Law Society.
Before Georgetown . . .
Jake was a consulting sales engineer in the microanalysis group at Keyence, a global technology leader in the industrial sector. While at Keyence, Jake regularly consulted on projects for companies in the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, renewable energy, aerospace, and defense industries.
Jake graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University as the 2019 Lyndon B. Johnson Senior, earning a B.B.A. in Economics with minors in International Business and Political Communication. While at Texas State, Jake wrote his thesis analyzing the North Korean economy under UN sanctions and worked to represent students both as a Student Government Senator and Interfraternity Council President.
Community Involvement
Jake is the President and Founder of Play Your Hand, a nonprofit organization that brings the comforts of home to children enduring prolonged stays in hospitals. He was inspired to create this organization following multiple stays at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment of a rare genetic condition.
Outside of the Classroom
Jake is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is an avid baker and cross-country road tripper (38 states and counting!). Jake can also often be found walking the National Mall with his wife and rescue beagle Annie.
