Jason Kwak
Jason Kwak has a diverse background in corporate law, public policy, and statistics. He is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at Georgetown Law, where he is expected to graduate in May 2026 as a member of Cohort 7 in the Business Law Scholars Program. Upon graduation, Jason hopes to work at a BigLaw firm, specializing in private equity or fund formation law. His long term goals are to eventually start a fund or work in-house for a large corporation. On campus, Jason is currently a 2L delegate for the Corporate and Financial Law Organization and social committee member for the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. This past summer, he worked at JANA Partners, LLC, a NY activist fund, where he assisted with their in-house practice.
Background
Jason graduated cum laude with highest distinction from Duke University with a degree in Public Policy and minors in Statistics and Economics. While in college, he was the Vice President of Duke Club Tennis and worked as a Bass Connections Research Assistant.
Prior to law school, Jason was a Legal Analyst at Goldman Sachs’s Asset & Wealth Management Division in Dallas, Texas where he assisted with private equity transactions, antitrust checks, and fund financing. He also was a Congressional Intern in Washington, D.C. for the Office of US Senator Chris Van Hollen and for the Office of US Representative Jamie Raskin.
Beyond Law School
Jason is from Bethesda, MD. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and producing music. Additional interests include watching NBA, F1, and supporting Washington, DC sports teams.
