Kate Vermilyea
Kate is a first-year law student and a member of Cohort 9 in the Business Law Scholars Program. After graduating, Kate is interested in working in BigLaw.
On campus, she is involved in CFLO.
Background
Before law school, Kate worked as a Business Consultant in Financial Services Risk at Ernst & Young in New York, where she served regional, foreign and global systemically important banking clients. Kate has a previous role as a Post-Graduate Fellow in the Center of Excellence in Finance at William & Mary.
Kate graduated from William & Mary with a degree in Marketing and Finance, along with a second major in History.
This summer, Kate will be working for the Office of Inspector General for the General Services Administration. Next summer, Kate will be a summer associate at Davis Polk.
Beyond Law School
Kate is from Bethesda, Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys workout classes, historical fiction and fantasy books, Dancing with the Stars, and visiting national parks.
