Lauren Arakelian

Lauren is a first-year law student and a member of Cohort 9 in the Business Law Scholars Program. She is interested in pursuing a career in corporate law after graduation. This summer, Lauren will be working as a law clerk at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Next summer, she will be working as a 2L Summer Associate in the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

At Georgetown, Lauren is a member of the Corporate and Financial Law Organization and the Armenian Law Students Association. She will serve as a Law Fellow this coming academic year.

Background

Prior to law school, Lauren worked for two years in litigation consulting at FTI Consulting’s Dallas office, where she assisted economic expert witnesses in IP litigation cases both in district court and at the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Lauren graduated from Haverford College in 2023, where she studied economics. As an undergraduate student, she was a Peer Tutor and Writing Partner at Haverford’s Writing Center, a Teaching Assistant in the Economics Department and in the Mathematics Department, and a Research Assistant in the Religion Department.

Beyond Law School

Lauren is from Modesto, California. Outside of school, Lauren enjoys golfing, taking yoga classes, traveling, and cooking Armenian food.
