Lauren Nilles
Lauren is an alumna and was in Cohort 3 of the Business Law Scholars Program. She is currently a Technology Companies Group Associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in New York.
At Georgetown, Lauren was a Solicitations Editor of the Georgetown Law Technology Review, a Student Member of the Corporate Law Symposium Advisory Board, and a Mentor for both the Women’s Legal Alliance and the Corporate & Financial Law Organization. She previously served as a Vice President of the Corporate & Financial Law Organization. Lauren also worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Alicia Plerhoples, researching ESG reporting standards and social enterprise entity types.
Lauren spent her 1L summer exploring privacy, corporate governance, and employment matters as the New York Public Library’s Legal Department Intern. During her 2L spring, Lauren gained experience drafting documents, including employment and purchase agreements, and presenting to clients as a Student Attorney in Georgetown’s Social Enterprise and Nonprofit Law Clinic. Prior to law school, Lauren worked as an Associate at AlphaSights in New York where she worked with management consulting firms throughout the private equity due diligence process.
During her 2L summer, Lauren worked as a Summer Associate in Wilson Sonsini’s New York office. Lauren is originally from St. Louis, Missouri and enjoys running, traveling, reading, and cooking.
