Matt Yeager

Matt is a first-year law student and a member of Cohort 9 in the Business Law Scholars Program. After law school, Matt plans on practicing Corporate Transactional Law. He is concurrently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Columbia Business School.

On campus, he is a member of the Military Law Society and Corporate and Financial Law Organization.

Background

Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Colgate University and began his career in investment banking at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in New York. He later transitioned to military service, serving as a Marine Corps Intelligence Officer before becoming an Army Special Forces (Green Beret) Captain. Most recently, he worked as an MBA Summer Associate at Blue Owl Capital on its private credit team in New York.

Next summer (2027), Matt will be a summer associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.

Beyond Law School

Matt is from Westport, CT. In his free time, he enjoys running, reading, and camping.
