Roman is a member of Cohort 6 of the Business Law Scholars program. At Georgetown Law, he is also a Fellow for the Institute of International Economic Law and serves as the Treasurer of the Corporate and Financial Law Organization (CFLO). He is primarily interested in practicing Corporate Law for Private Equity companies and plans to rotate through practice areas including Debt Finance, M&A, and Restructuring.

Background

Roman graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and a Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. After graduation, he held various roles in New York including a Sales Analyst at Citigroup, Senior Strategy and Operations Manager at OpenWeb, and Management Consulting Associate at Charles River Associates. His most recent role was Chief of Staff at Marco Financial where he supported the CEO in $83M seed financing by leading financial presentations and managing legal documentation with investors. Most recently, Roman spent his 1L Summer with Kirkland & Ellis and plans to return for his 2L summer.

Beyond Law School

Roman is from San Diego, California. He enjoys running, reading, traveling in Latin America and East Asia, modern art, and Duke basketball.
