Sofia Ferrari

Sofia is a first-year law student and a member of Cohort 9 in the Business Law Scholars Program. She is interested in working in Big Law after law school and can see herself transitioning to a smaller firm or in-house later in her career.
On campus, she is involved in the Corporate and Financial Law Organization and the First Generation Student Union.
Background
Prior to law school, Sofia worked for two years in a boutique securities law firm in West Hollywood, CA, first as a Legal Assistant and then as a Paralegal. She worked primarily with investment advisory businesses, drafting organizational documents and advising on organizational structure and corporate governance strategy. She also facilitated M&A transactions, including as lead paralegal on a $40 million acquisition, by reviewing purchase documents, overseeing due diligence, and coordinating among parties.
Sofia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating summa cum laude in 2023. During her studies, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Quaestio History Undergraduate Journal, was a member of the Executive Board of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society, and worked as a tutor with the UCLA Pritzker Center Bruin Tutor Network.
This summer, Sofia will be interning as an in-house legal intern at Clear Channel Outdoor in New York City. Next summer, she will join Paul, Weiss in New York City as a summer associate.
Beyond Law School
Sofia is originally from Italy and grew up in Orange County, CA. In her free time, she enjoys reading classic novels, cooking and baking, and practicing yoga. She is fluent in Italian and proficient in French.
