Passionate Businesswoman Committed to Making a Difference

Sydney is a Georgetown Law student in Cohort 5 of the Business Law Scholars program, expected to graduate May 2024. She enjoys being challenged while advocating for others and hopes to explore her legal passions in the field of business.

Background

Prior to attending Georgetown Law, Sydney was a student at the University of Pennsylvania. While at the University of Pennsylvania, she took classes in The Wharton School of Business to explore her passions of business while majoring in Criminology and minoring in Africana Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences to develop an understanding of criminal justice and race relations. She represented the face of Penn both as a tour guide and tutored undergraduate students in the fields of Math and Economics. She continues to give back to her undergraduate community as an alumni interviewer. During her summers, she worked as a legal intern at Big Law firms including Proskauer Rose LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, & Flom LLP.
As an advocate for underrepresented populations, she was named the Equity and Access Chairman at the University of Pennsylvania Admissions Office to ensure every potential student’s needs were properly met. She also has a deep connection to animals and worked as a dog trainer and foster for four years at UPenn’s Veterinary School Working Dog Center, training dogs to perform life-saving acts such as cancer detection and search and rescue.

Beyond Law School

Sydney enjoys running, travel, and animal rescue. She rescued and now owns a cat with feline AIDS and raised over $6,000 to save his life. She also enjoys reviewing on Yelp and was named a Yelp Elite Member in 2018 and 2019.
