The Georgetown Art Law Association will be meeting with Professor Madhavi Sunder for a discussion of fair use in intellectual property law, particularly in the context of the pending Supreme Court decision in Warhol v. Goldsmith. How can fair use help artists contribute to our national conversation, and what chilling effects might it have? We will be joined by Taysir Awad, an SJD student who will be discussing the global uptake of fair use law and how different countries around the world approach the problem of limiting intellectual property rights.
