Organized by O’Neill Institute

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, a day set aside to honor those whose lives have been lost to overdose deaths, and to take action to reverse the trend of overdoses. In recognition of this worldwide day of action, the Addiction & Public Policy Initiative at The O’Neill Institute, together with C&I and the HoyaDOPE project at the Georgetown Medical Center, will sponsor a brief in-person naloxone training for the Georgetown community. The training takes less than 30 minutes. Participants will learn to identify the symptoms of opioid-related overdoses and be trained to administer naloxone, a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose. After the training is complete, all participants will receive naloxone.

Join us on August 31 at 11 AM on the 9th floor of 500 1st NW on Georgetown University Law Center’s campus and RSVP here by August 30, 2022.
