The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world, per capita and by volume. Despite only having 5% of the world’s population, the U.S. has more than 20% of the world’s prison population. Racial disparities are profound within the criminal justice system, as Black men and women have considerably higher admission rates than Whites or Hispanics. A recent study shows that 94% of police force in DC is against Black people. This has to change!

Join the Center for Innovations in Community Safety for a dialogue addressing mass incarceration, the impacts and detriments that it has caused, and how we can move forward to better society!
