Amanda Levendowski, Director of Georgetown’s Intellectual Property and Information Policy (iPIP) Clinic, will host an event co-presented by SIPLA and the Cyberlaw Society entitled “Trademarks as Surveillance Transparency.” The event will serve as a brief orientation to the mechanics of trademark prosecution and how those techniques can be used to investigate surveillance technology companies. There will be an interactive component for students to conduct their own searches and report back to the group.
