Winter Institute on Addiction Policy and the Law Continuing Legal Education program

Location: 111 Massachusetts Ave NW
Date: February 9, 2026 - February 10, 2026
Time:

The “Winter Institute on Addiction Policy and the Law Continuing Legal Education program” brings together litigators and other legal practitioners, policymakers, clinicians, and academics to examine the legal underpinnings of the nation’s approach to drug and addiction law and policy in the United States.

Interactive lectures, panels, and case studies will examine the science of addiction, as well as the role litigation and policymaking play in shaping national drug and addiction policy. Participants will also learn from academics and practitioners with expertise in international supply reduction approaches.

This program is designed to support attendees seeking Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit. Sessions eligible for CLE will be clearly identified. CLE accreditation is available for DC, MD, NY, PA, and VA; participants may self-submit for CLE.

If you’re unable to join us in person, you can still take part in the full two-day program online via a virtual non-CLE participation option.

Accommodation requests related to a disability should be sent to the O’Neill Communications and Events Team (oneillevents@georgetown.edu(This link opens in a new tab)). A good-faith effort will be made to fulfill all requests made.
