Since Georgetown Law’s first class in 1870, the school has fostered urgent conversations central to constitutional law, democracy, and civil society. That tradition continues with the 2025 Supreme Court Term in Review, hosted in partnership with the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2024–2025 term is expected to deliver high-impact decisions on issues including: access to gender-affirming health care for transgender youth (U.S. v. Skrmetti), the future of preventive services under the ACA (Becerra v. Braidwood Management, Inc.), restrictions on free speech (Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton), and birthright citizenship (Trump v. Washington, Trump v. CASA Inc.). These and other cases will affect the lives of millions of Americans.
This important conversation will be moderated by Dr. Michele Bratcher Goodwin, Co-Faculty Director of the O’Neill Institute and the Linda D. & Timothy J. O’Neill Professor of Constitutional Law and Global Health Policy. Space is limited.
