FAQs
There are no prerequisites for the Week One first-year simulation courses. All of them, however, require reading and preparation before classes begin on January 5, 2026. Students can expect to receive information about course materials and instructions via their course's Canvas page and/or their email in December.
First-Year Week One courses are highly participatory and graded on a pass/fail basis. The faculty do not expect you to be experts and will not grade you on the quality of your work, in or outside of class. Instead, you will be evaluated solely on your attendance and participation. For that reason, you must be present and on time for all class sessions and complete all class assignments.
Week One Enrollment Process
We expect to offer approximately 200 seats with class sizes no larger than 24 students.
Please see the "Key Dates" section on the main Week One webpage for information about the First-Year Week One 2026 registration process.
Please note: If you encounter any technical difficulty with the Live Registration process in GU Experience, or if you have any inquiries regarding GU Experience, please contact the Office of the Registrar. Their webpage may be found at the following link.
