Alonzo Barber is an Adjunct Professor at Law teaching the week one course, Legal Skills in an AI-Powered World. Alonzo is director and managing counsel for Microsoft’s U.S. Enterprise Commercial business. He and his team support complex transactions including volume software licensing deals, advanced equity arrangements and co-building technology with Microsoft’s strategic customers. Prior to his commercial transactions role, Alonzo supported the Windows product team, managing the release of emerging technologies embedded in the Windows ecosystem.

Professor Barber regularly presents within legal and business forums on the impact of advanced technologies on law and society. He is an advocate of applying technology to grow business capabilities and applies his practical expertise as a volunteer director with the Score Foundation, a non-profit organization working with the Small Business Administration to mentor and grow small and medium-sized businesses in America. Professor Barber is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, received his master’s in engineering management from Old Dominion University and his bachelor’s degree from the United States Naval Academy.
