Professor Decker is a Managing Director in the National Office of PwC’s Mergers & Acquisitions Tax Services practice and has a broad range of corporate tax experience in both the public and private sector. Previously, Professor Decker was a Senior Technician Reviewer in the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. In this position, he reviewed and issued letter rulings on transactions involving large corporate restructurings involving divisive and acquisitive reorganizations, liquidations, incorporations, and related events. Professor Decker was also involved in guidance (revenue rulings, revenue procedures, regulations) published on matters relating to reorganizations and assisted in developing legal arguments pertaining to examinations, audits, and litigation. He has served as a Tax Consultant at both Deloitte Tax LLP, Washington, D.C. and Arthur Andersen, LLP, Office of Federal Tax Services, Washington, D.C.
