Dionne Hayes provides oversight and management of the Law Center’s over 600 J.D. and LL.M. adjunct faculty members, including faculty appointments, curriculum planning, and course scheduling. Prior to joining Georgetown, Dionne served as General Counsel to the D.C. Office of Unified Communications, General Counsel to the D.C. Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services, and Assistant General Counsel in the D.C. Office of the Attorney General. Prior to that, she was with Blackwell Burke P.A. for eight years, in Minneapolis, MN. Her practice areas included commercial litigation, products liability defense, and intellectual property/entertainment law, and she represented Fortune 500 companies in state and federal court around the country. Dionne received her B.A. in Criminology and Psychology from the University of Manitoba in Canada and her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline University School of Law. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Writing with a concentration in fiction from Bennington College and is a published writer.
