Douglas L. Siegler is a partner with Sutherland Asbill &Brennan LLP in Washington, DC, where his practice focuses on individual tax and estate planning and estate administration, as well as the development and implementation of lifetime gift, insurance, and charitable giving programs. Doug is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bar. He is a frequent speaker on estate planning topics and has written for the Real Property Probate and Trust Journal, Tax Management International Journal, and The Journal of International Taxation, among others. Mr. Siegler graduated from St. Albans School in 1979, from Princeton University, cum laude, in 1983, and from Duke University Law School, with honors, in 1986. He is a past member of the Governing Board of St. Albans School, as well as past Chairman of its Development Committee and Planned Giving Committee. Doug is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Concord Hill School, and a former Board member and General Counsel of the Historical Society of Washington, DC. He and his wife Charlotte have two children, Rachel and Nathaniel.
