Professor Zuleta is Vice President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, member of the World Bank Sanctions Board, member of the ICCA Governing Board and has been member of the LCIA Court, Vice Chair of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration and President of the Latin American Arbitration Association. In 2011 he was included the ICSID list of arbitrators (President´s list) and in 2013 became Co-Chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee. Has acted as Chair and co-arbitrator under ICSID, ICC UNCITRAL rules in investment arbitrations; as chair and member of the panel in annulment committees under ICSID; as chair, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator in international commercial arbitrations under ICC, UNCITRAL, IACAC, ICDR Rules and under rules of Latin American arbitration centers in several jurisdictions worldwide in matters involving private and State parties and related, inter alia, to construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, utilities, distribution, commercial contracts in general and project finance. Has acted as counsel and co-counsel in several international arbitrations in Colombia and in several jurisdictions worldwide in matters related to construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, utilities, distribution, M&A, commercial contracts in general and project finance Professor Zuleta is listed, inter alia, in the panels of arbitrators of EAL, SIAC, HKIAC, the Arbitration Center of British Columbia and several arbitration centers in Latin America. Professor Zuleta was associate and partner of a US international law firm for 16 years, where he acquired extensive experience as counsel in infrastructure, project finance and international commercial contracts, including cross border acquisitions. As co-chair of the Arbitration Committee he was involved in the drafting of the revision to the IBA Guidelines on Conflict of Interest and in the Guidelines for Party Representation in International Arbitration. He was also involved in the drafting of the 2012 and 2017 amendments to the ICC Rules of Arbitration and was member of the drafting commission appointed by the Colombian Government for the drafting of the new Colombian law on international arbitration. Professor Zuleta is a Colombian citizen. He graduated in law (J.D.), with honors, from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota and did postgraduate studies (LL.M.) at the University of London–Queen Mary, with a specialization in international dispute resolution.
