Ellen Liebowitz was an appellate immigration judge at the Board of Immigration Appeals, the highest administrative tribunal for interpreting and applying immigration law in the United States and a component of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review. In addition to her 14 years on the appellate bench, her other positions at the Executive Office for Immigration Review included serving as a senior legal adviser to the Chief Appellate Immigration Judge and an attorney adviser to the Board of Immigration Appeals.
