Previously, he served as Senior Consultant in Deloitte Consulting’s Human Capital practice and as manager of the Kennedy School Negotiation Project at Harvard University, where he conducted research emphasizing the links between cutting-edge scholarship and practice in negotiation and conflict resolution, with a focus on conflicts in the Middle East, Northern Ireland, Kosovo and other complex inter-group disputes. A former director of external training at the Harvard Mediation Program, Professor Berger has conducted training programs on negotiation, mediation and conflict management for senior executives and public leaders in Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and the Middle East. He served as Ombudsperson at the Kennedy School of Government from 2001 to 2005.
