Prof. Carman is a global regulatory expert whose practice and teaching focus on global regulation, health law, and assisted reproductive technologies. He currently serves as Corporate Counsel – Global Regulatory at Carrot Fertility, where he leads regulatory review and policy design defining access to care and health coverage across more than 160 countries, advising Operations, Marketing, and Clinical teams on regulatory risk and international compliance.
Earlier in his career, Prof. Carman served as a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Justice of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also worked as a Global Health Law Consultant at Georgetown’s O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, where he conducted country-level analyses of HIV criminalization and access-to-treatment regulations across the EMEA and APAC regions. In addition, he served as Senior Program Manager and Research Director at Global Americans, leading research on the policy and economic implications of free trade agreements and their impact on access to medicines.
