Jacob Glick is currently a senior associate at Hecker Fink LLP. Prior to joining the firm, he served as senior policy counsel at the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy, where he led ICAP’s policy efforts to combat political violence and unlawful paramilitary activity and helped secure a landmark settlement in Penebaker v. Hitt, a civil suit against Wisconsin’s false electors and two lawyers who conspired with them to undermine the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Previously, he served as Investigative Counsel for the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. Jacob was one of the attorneys who led the Select Committee’s investigation into the rise of far-right domestic extremism and its role in the attempted insurrection, as well as the Select Committee’s investigation into how various social media platforms contributed to the attack. In this role, he deposed or interviewed dozens of witnesses; helped develop several of the Select Committee’s high-profile public hearings; and drafted portions of its final report. He also served as counsel for Representative Jamie Raskin’s Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, where his oversight work focused on evaluating the federal government’s response to the evolving threat of violent white supremacy. During his tenure on the Oversight Committee, Jacob also served as counsel for the House Managers’ legal team for the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump. Earlier in his career, Jacob was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
Jacob earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he was involved in the Democracy and the Rule of Law Clinic and served on the Editorial Board of the Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Cornell University.
