Jelani is an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel in the litigation division of the District of Columbia Office of Disciplinary Counsel. He completed his B.A. at The Ohio State University and his J.D. at the Howard University School of Law. Jelani joined the ODC in 2006 during his first summer as a law student and has worked in the office ever since. He has served as a law clerk, staff attorney, and assistant disciplinary counsel and worked in each of the office’s divisions – intake, litigation and appellate. Currently in the litigation division, Jelani investigates and prosecutes cases involving violations of the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct.
