Jonathan Rash is a corporate partner at Fried Frank, resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office. His practice involves representing alternative asset managers on a wide range of complex matters, focusing on customized private fund structures, innovative cross-border fund offerings, and special strategic projects. Jonathan has represented sponsors of private equity funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, funds-of-funds and separate accounts on high-profile, multi-billion dollar fundraisings across all types of alternative asset classes, including buyout, growth, venture, infrastructure, credit and real estate. He also regularly counsels clients on US securities law matters, fund restructurings and other strategic initiatives, internal compensation arrangements, portfolio company transactions and general corporate matters. Jonathan regularly advises some of the largest and most well-known private fund sponsors, including Bain Capital, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Golub Capital, King Street Capital, Morgan Stanley, Neuberger Berman and Sixth Street. Prior to joining Fried Frank in 2016, Jonathan was an associate at another large international law firm, where he represented asset managers in structured finance and securitization transactions and advised on US securities law matters. Jonathan graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University and earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law. Jonathan is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and Washington, DC.
