Mark Jacoby is an attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant. In this role, he supports the Commission’s Chief Accountant in advising the Commission on accounting and auditing matters, overseeing standard‑setting, and interpreting and developing policy. Mark began his career working for Arthur Andersen, the NASDAQ Stock Market, and VeriSign, Inc. After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center, he spent two years as an associate in Orrick’s structured finance practice and six years with Debevoise & Plimpton’s white collar and regulatory defense practice.
