As the Environmental Working Group’s Legislative Attorney, Professor Benesh performs regulatory and legislative analysis related to federal cosmetic, chemical, food, and farm law. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was an evening student and served on the Georgetown Journal of International Law. While in law school, she worked for a D.C. area solo practitioner; interned at the ACLU Washington Legislative Office, the Center for Justice and International Law, and the Federal Trade Commission; and was a summer associate at Bredhoff & Kaiser PLLC and Murphy Anderson PLLC. Prior to law school, she worked as a research assistant studying Fair Trade coffee in Chiapas, Mexico, and later as a community organizer for Voces de la Frontera in Milwaukee. She received her B.A. from Marquette University in Political Science and International Relations.
