Michael Chodos is an attorney, entrepreneur, strategic advisor and speaker. As principal attorney of the Law Offices of Michael Chodos, he represents and advises a broad range of entrepreneurs including writers, musicians and other content creators, specialized manufacturers, technology startups and highly-regulated growth-stage companies, both nationwide and internationally.

Professor Chodos has represented, advised and helped grow numerous entrepreneurial ventures, as outside legal counsel, in-house Chief Legal Officer, and as a founder and co-venturer. He has also fostered groundbreaking legal and policy change in support of disruptive technology companies, and has managed, litigated, negotiated and resolved high-stakes transactions and disputes across the financial, entertainment, governmental and technology sectors.

Professor Chodos also served, as a Presidential Appointee, as the Associate Administrator for the Office of Entrepreneurial Development in the US Small Business Administration, as well as the Agencyโ€™s Deputy General Counsel and Chief Negotiator. Professor Chodos was an Official Observer on the Uniform Law Commissionโ€™s Privacy and Electronic Transactions committees.

Professor Chodos is also deeply engaged in influencing public policy to boost entrepreneurship, government innovation, and impact investing. Previously, Professor Chodos acted as a Senior Fellow, Director of Impact Investing, and Professor of the Practice with Georgetown Universityโ€™s Beeck Center for Social Impact & Innovation. He was also the Senior Advisor to the US National Advisory Board on Impact Investing, the USโ€™s arm of the G8โ€™s Global Task Force on Impact Investing.

Professor Chodos has a B.A. from Swarthmore College (with Honors), with a focus on English Literature and American History, and a J.D. from Stanford University School of Law where, in addition to his legal studies, he was Co-President of the Environmental Law Society.
