Mike Monteleone currently serves as the Asia Economic Growth Division Chief at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). His work focuses on leveraging private capital and private sector partnerships in order to promote inclusive economic growth in South, Central, and Southeast Asia. Previously, he was selected as a Franklin Fellow on the Asia Economic Growth team.
Prior to joining USAID, Professor Monteleone practiced law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, where he worked primarily on mergers and acquisitions, credit, and fund formation transactions. He holds an A.B. with honors in Economics and East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago, a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
