Michael Daly is a global dispute resolution lawyer with significant experience in international arbitrations and international litigation. His practice is focused on helping clients solve cross-border challenges, including Fortune 500 companies and government officials. He is currently advising on matters before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and U.S. District Court.
JURIS Legal Information recently published a book Michael coauthored with Abby Cohen Smutny and Andrew de Lotbinière McDougall entitled A Practical Guide to International Arbitration (2020, with a foreword by The Honorable Marc Lalonde, PC OC QC). The book has been referred to as “essential reading for all in-house counsel” by Lim Seok Hui (chief executive officer and secretariat, Singapore International Arbitration Centre [SIAC]) and has received similar reviews from Sarah Grimmer (secretary-general, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre [HKIAC]), Jacomijn van Haersolte-van Hoff (director general, LCIA), Meg Kinnear (secretary general, ICSID), and Alexis Mourre (president, ICC, International Court of Arbitration).
Michael previously served as a legal adviser at the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal in The Hague and with Charles N. Brower (20 Essex Street Chambers).
